Search Functions


CareLit® is the database for targeted literature research in healthcare. Its scope is unique in the German-speaking world: around 448 professional journals and more than 514,000 professional articles. The content includes literature on science, education, management, and law in health professions, including nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and midwifery, as well as numerous other life sciences.



Search n in Publishers, Journals, Articles

In CareLit, you can conveniently browse the digital library. Choose individual professional journals, specific subject areas, or the list of new releases.



Use simple search, scholarly search, and the convenient search builder.

Search: In the "Search" module, you can search the entire database. In the simple search, you will receive a search field where you can enter your search query. In the Advanced Search Builder, you have the option to formulate complex search queries. You can search in various fields of the database (for example, title, keyword, summary) and thus refine your search query.


Catalog Functions


In the journal list, you can view all the professional journals that are included in the database. By clicking on a title, you open the archive of the corresponding journal. Here you will find the currently published journals from nursing and health professions. By clicking on a journal, you open the archive. In this view, you can see the main focuses of the health professions as well as the relevant professional journals. By clicking on a journal, you open the archive.



Literature Management


In theLiterature Manageryou can manage your references. When you first access the Literature Manager, only one literature list is available. In the Literature Manager, you can create as many literature lists as you like. We recommend giving your literature list a short and concise name. This name will later be displayed as an option in the results list.

TheFavorites Managerfunctions similarly to the bookmarks in your browser. You have the option to save individual references in the Favorites Manager in different lists, manage them, and export them. With this function, you can keep track of various research projects as well as literature that you may consider relevant, without having to add them to a favorites list yet. When you first access the Favorites Manager, only one list is created. You can create as many additional lists as you like.

With theReader Manageryou can create your own seminar materials. CareLit combines the relevant references into a single PDF. When you first open the Readermanager, only one list is created. You can create as many additional lists as you like.
